Promotion options

Types of promotion

  • Highlight - A highlighted entry on any listing page which is designed to catch the eye of a scrolling visitor.
  • Featured - As well as being highlighted, your entry will appear inside the feature block near the top of the home page.
  • Top Hero - Your entry will become the upper hero near the top of the home page.
  • Lower Hero - Your entry will become the lower hero near the bottom of the home page.
  • Blog Post - As well as a blog post, we'll create an entry on one our most relevant pages that links to the blog post.

What can you promote?

Anything awsome or significant - and relevant! So any product, service or other type of resource, that would make a valuable contribution within any existing (or new) category on any of our pages. Existing entries can be edited and promoted too.

Tips for submission

  • Be Helpful • Help others by clearly stating any unique selling points, value and usefulness to your target audience.
  • Always • Provide accurate, concise information.
  • Avoid • Excessive technical detail unless it's essential.
  • Omit • Opinions, wild claims (unless true!), politics or any other divisive language.
  • Research • Ensure claims are well-researched, accurate and easily verifiable.
  • Tone • Use an approachable yet professional tone. Humour and sarcasm is good too!
  • Word limits • 80 words or less for title + detail (excluding reference URLs).
  • Images • Ideally an aspect ration of 2:1 but taller options can be discussed. Note that images are retained after your promotion ends for at least 1 month unless otherwise requested.

IMPORTANT

We aim for quality over quantity and great UX - promoted or not, and regardless of category. We showcase genuinely valuable and useful material that deserve the attention of our audience. We do not take every application. If your material does not fit with our vibe we may decline - nicely.

Pricing

Pricing varies depending on the type of promotion, duration and a UX-Fudge-Factor that we will be fully transparent about in any promotion offers we make.
